A bit on myself. I am a SEBI Registered Research Analyst. My area of focus is publicly traded stocks and mutual funds. From time to time I dabble with fixed income products. I use secondary research, MS Excel and programming language (primarily Python) for my work.
My Story
In my past life I have worked in data science and analytics for banking and retail clients. The time spent - close to two decades - has given me a solid grasp of data and its interpretation. Having built a tidy portfolio that enabled me to retire early, I decided to up my research skills and do this full time.

I started my investment journey early and picked up speed in 2012 when I was stuck in a dead-end job. Talk of silver linings! However, taking ownership of my personal finance was the best possible decision I made - inadvertently. It was confusing initially and being the nerd, I picked up books and courses. I passed two levels of CFA from CFA Institute, USA which acted as a refresher to my B-School curriculum. A much needed refresher. However there were major gaps in my learning. Two of them - economy and taxation - continue to be my Achilles heel.
